Our Impact

Social Performance

Creditree has its roots in a development-focused NGO, aiming to make a positive impact on people’s lives and create a more sustainable institution. Therefore, the company recognizes the significance of social and financial development. For this reason, social performance management has been ingrained in the organization since its inception. To sustain its commitment to sustainable growth and impact, the organization has a dedicated Social Performance Management Department.

From the philosophy of practicing responsible business, Creditree follows the triple bottom line concept, focusing on responsible , social performance, and environmental impact. The company conducts its work in a socially responsible, ethical, and transparent manner to demonstrate commitment and respect towards all stakeholders, including clients, employees, and their families.

The mission and vision of Creditree are aligned towards the social and financial development of communities while being environmentally conscious in its operational activities. The Social Performance Management (SPM) policy is consistent with the Smart Campaign’s Client Protection Principles, the Universal Standards for Social Performance Management by the Social Performance Task Force, and Reporting on Social Performance as defined by the Microfinance Information Exchange.

Gender sensitization and mainstreaming have also been adopted. In addition to developing a Gender Policy with the help of industry experts, the organization mandates gender training for all employees to create a sensitive workplace. The commitment to a gender-friendly workplace is ingrained in the culture of the organization, and Creditree Fincorp strives to ensure better comfort at the office by designing gender-sensitive facilities.

Environmental Performance

Creditree Environmental Policy is designed to manage the environmental and social risks associated with its operations. As a microfinance institution, it is committed to complying with national legislation related to lending by microfinance institutions. The institution has lending guidelines that establish standards to limit the impact of its lending operations on the environment. These guidelines are implemented on three levels: managing the environmental impact in lending, maintaining internal standards of environmental management, and promoting eco-friendly products.

Creditree Social Performance Management (SPM) Policy underscores its commitment to achieving positive contributions to society by balancing not only financial and social returns but also considering environmental impact. The policy embodies guiding principles to avoid potential impacts of lending operations and other interventions on clients, employees, the environment, the community, and shareholders. Creditree has a specific policy with the objective of avoiding, and when avoidance is not possible, minimizing and mitigating adverse impacts of subprojects on the environment and affected people, while maximizing environmental and social benefits.

In addition to the existing policy, Creditree has taken steps to promote better environmental practices. These activities include training school children on the environment through an external consultant and conducting anti-plastic awareness sessions for employees.
